The Moment You've All Been Waiting For....

OH MY. So much to say. I'm going to stick to my "list" form that I like so much to get it all in. I'd be here ALL day if I posted everything that has happened since I blogged last! Here's a quick update, followed by a million photos! I can't believe I haven't written since MAY!

- Beck has two teeth!
- Kyle and I both had our 24th birthday!
- Beck can pull himself up, and he can crawl! Both of these things he started doing right after he turned 8 months. TOMORROW he will be 9 months! He's growing so fast!
- Beckham and I went on a trip (Kyle had to stay home to work, BOO!) to Texas and Oklahoma for the first 19 days in June! Here's all of the things that Beckham (and I) did while we were there:

Beck met Uncle Grant and Aunt Jackie:

and his 4 Borgholthaus cousins:

Blake
Megan

Paige

and Jason

and over the next couple of weeks...

ate carrots at Rudy's BBQ (Beck had carrots, we all ate yummy MEAT)...

Sang in a Mariachi Band at the Children's Museum in downtown Austin...

(I did some fun things too, one of which was take some really cool pictures with Blake)...

Met a buddy that was born on the same day, October 9th, who is just as cute and chubby as he is...

Ate yummy food and drink fed to him by his cousins (Beck has some really NICE cousins)...

swam and swam...

played and played...
had some in depth conversations....

had his first haircut

before

during

and after....

sat on the beach at Lake Pflugerville...

and more. Then we headed to Oklahoma where Beck met, for the 2nd time, his Uncle Nick and Aunt Tiffany

and their dog, Bailey,

who Beck attempted to "ride".

With Nick and Tiffany, we

visited the Drug Store Museum

and learned about Asthmatic Cigarettes,

Mustache Cups,

and.........and talked on a really cool old phone.

Beck was a trooper and sat in his stroller all while being

happy,

angry,

stunned,

surprised,

and asleep.

We also went to a few different art galleries, and saw some pretty cool (and crazy) things.

Beck even got to ride this cool rocking horse.

We also went to the Oklahoma City Bombing memorial, where I forgot my camera. Maybe I'll have to grab a few photos from my dad and put them on here.

All in all, we had a pretty great time visiting with some of our family. Beck already misses his cousins!

Beck is groooooujh win up!!

Excuse the name of this post...that came from the little man himself! My mischievous babe is getting so big! Just this afternoon he rolled from his back to his tummy! He's been able to roll the other way for quite some time, but now he's a steam roller. I'm such a proud mom! His personality has sprouted quite a bit as well, making it very clear when he wants something. His curiosity never ceases to amaze me...or craze me. :) I know it's all part of growing up - the grabbing, the eating (of everything that isn't food), and the endless energy. I love it. Here's some pictures of what Beck is looking like these days:

At his 6 month Dr. Appt., Beckham was 75th Percentile in weight, 50th in height, and 5oth in his head circumference. He's starting to even out a little bit from his last appointment a month before when he was 85th percentile in weight, 50th in his height and 75th in his head circumference.

All In One

I don't have a lot of time right now to do separate posts for each event, so I'm going to roll it all into one. Here's some things worth documenting

- Beck is seriously chubby, (and adorable), and right now on this day, a whopping 19.6 pounds.

- We had our first trip to the Urgent Care center when we had a little bath incident with the hot water...Beck's leg got a big fat blister. I won't take a picture.

- Our babe now eats solid foods! He eats his fruits and veggies (most of his veggies) like a champ, and that rice cereal is like his bottle on a spoon. mmmm....

- Beck loooves to play with his cousins. These were taken at a 'movie night'

- Easter happened! Wahoo! More time with cousins! Oh, and if you hadn't noticed, he sits up like a champ.

- This is how happy Beckham is, all of the time. You can't not get him to smile. In these photos he has a pretty gnarly cold, but you can't tell. :)

- On a non-Beck related note, Kyle got an awesome job that he started today. It's full time, and is relevant with his major in school, which is awesome. We will miss Daddy at home, but we couldn't be more grateful.

Ode to Vinny

I went and bought Vinny the week I found out I was pregnant. I picked him because he looked stubborn, and I was determined to keep him ALIVE. So many...ok all of the stupid beta fish I've had just killed over after the first week. This fish was going to prove to me I could take care of a baby. Silly, right? That was seriously what I was thinking when I bought him, though. Stupid Vinny really is just as stubborn as I thought he was... because seriously, he's still alive. It's been well over a year. Just last week Beck was sitting with dad, grabbed the fish bowl, and pulled it over. He started to cry because he was all wet, and Kyle went in to get Beckham into some clean clothes, with the fish still lying on the floor. Ten minutes later, he comes back, grabs Vinny, sticks him in a vase (the vase with my cute homemade flowers in it), and he starts swimming! He's seriously still alive after laying on the carpet for that long. I keep trying to figure out if there's some lesson for me to learn from this...who knows. Way to go, Vinny, you survived.
